Types of groin guards

In our fight club store you can find different models of groin guards in contact sports or martial arts. Not only should you pay attention to a good model of boxing gloves or good hitting cloths, but you should also take care of and protect the genital area from impacts. Choose the one that best suits us according to the sport we practice, the material it is made of and the one that is most comfortable for us in training.

We recommend its use in all training or competition to avoid unnecessary blows or accidents. Any involuntary blow in that area apart from breaking your concentration or attention that you have at that moment, also generates a bad feeling of the body, therefore its use is appropriate.

In the market you can find different materials and different shapes:

- Boxing cups with plastic groin guard: They are of the lowest quality and only recommended for very low intensity workouts.

- Boxing cups with plastic groin guard and silicone edges: They are the most used since it adapts very well, quite comfortable and of good quality.

- Metal boxing cups: You can find them made of aluminum or steel, they are the best quality but they are quite uncomfortable making movement difficult.

- Removable cups: of good quality used in martial arts (karate cups) and some contact sports (krav maga cups).

- Taekwondo groin guards: It is the most traditional model as it comes with straps to tie the metal groin guard. They come approved with the certificate of the moment.

- Boxing groin guard: They are the safest since they protect the genital area, the lower abdomen and lower back. For exclusive use in boxing.
